Oak Village C.A.R.E.S.
Oak Village C.A.R.E.S is organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The mission is to improve the socio-economic lives of the residents in the community by improving access to community resources, improving literacy skills, educational opportunities and living standards.
What Are We All About?
The Oak Village Community Development Corporation for the Advancement, Renewal, Equity and Success (C.A.R.E.S.) is concerned about the westside of Detroit, Michigan, in the area bounded by Eight Mile Road on the north; Seven Mile Road on the south; Livernois Avenue on the east and Wyoming Avenue on the west, as well as other areas of the city of Detroit.
2022-2023 activities were completed to carry out our mission include providing food boxes to those in need, making COVID -19 testing available and providing COVID-19 vaccination to the community.
In 2024 we are back at work working to serve the community in even greater ways.
